Our process of Bullnosing and Shaping Your porcelain tiles allows us to follow the unique contours of your swimming pool. Each pool coping tile fits into the next to create a seamless Coping. No more cutting and trimming square pieces to fit a round pool, Mr Bullnose will custom make your pool coping from Your tile.
Our Porcelain Pool Coping Bullnoses are as durable as your tile and have been used in Public spaces such as Sea Point Public Swimming pool (since 2017), the shaped Beacon Isle Hotel Pool in Plettenberg Bay (2020) – 68 linear meters of Shaped Triple Bullnose Porcelain Pool Copings where not 1 piece was the same as the next.
Mr Bullnose’s Pool Copings are easy to install by any proficient tiler as the Copings ARE YOUR TILE, just looking better. No specialist coping installers required. The tile is the Bullnose, and the Bullnose is the tile.
Besides our Standard Bullnose options, we are continually designing new edge details to architectural and client requirements. These include:
- Angled All-in-One Mitres for rim flow and infinity pools.
- Triple All-in-One Mitres for LED lighting.
Other services include accurate Cutting of tiles and Restoring the Factory Edge so that they won’t be sharp or have chipped edges- your tiler won’t be able to tell which side has been cut.
We Cut, Restore the factory edge, pack in original boxes, strap and wrap on a pallet for transport.

Double Bullnose Pool Copings
We use Your Porcelain tile to Manufacture a Double Bullnose Pool Coping.
A Double Bullnose gives Your tile a strong distinct finish. The 20mm overhang reduces the amount of water that splashes out of the pool. The overhang is big enough for children to have something to hold onto but small enough to not be a ledge for you to bump your head on. To create these beautiful Double Bullnose Pool Copings we fuse a section of Your tiles to the front of the coping tile to give the appearance of a double thick “slab” or tile. Another benefit is that the Double Bullnose Pool Coping hides the unsightly adhesive that is used to hold the Pool Coping in place. Although your tile has been upgraded it is still a Porcelain tile and you can use the normal recommended adhesive as recommended by your tile company. Also, your own tiler can install them. No specialist products or installers needed.
Round corners? Martini seat, Shaped or Curved Pool? No problem. We template the shape of your pool and manufacture the pool copings to the shape of your pool. See examples below of completed pools and other client’s individual tiles.

All-in-One Mitre Bullnose Pool Copings
Our expertise has created an All-in-One Mitre Bullnose Pool Coping, ideal for an elegant and discreet finish to your pool. Mr Bullnose fuses your tiles at 90 degrees with the Coping being any size (usually a full tile) and the Facia into the pool anything from 30mm to a full tile. Most client choose 75mm or 100mm depending on the water line. To ensure that no-one gets hurt, the bottom of the Facia in Half Bullnosed (rounded) so that there is No sharp edges in your pool. The All-in-One Mitre Bullnose Pool Coping gives a sleek look and is ideal for a smaller pool where you want to maximize your pool area.
This option is especially popular with clients who don’t want a mosaic but want a scum-line tile and for those whose tiles have a different colour body to the surface of the tile. The All-in-One Mitre hides Most of the colour of the body of tile (see below for examples). The amount of body that is seen depends on the tile.

All-in-One Double Bullnose with Added Facia is for clients who Love the Double Bullnose, need a scum-line tile but don’t want a mosaic.
All-in-One Double Bullnose with Added Facia gives you All the benefits of a Double Bullnose, 20mm overhang, a double-thick coping, something for the children to hold onto, reduction in the amount of water splashing out of the pool and a Facia made from your own tile into the pool instead of a mosaic. Once again this allows you to keep the continuity and seamless elegance of your tile. The Facia is Half Bullnosed at the bottom so that there are No sharp edges in your pool.
